In a major stride towards bolstering its market presence, Throns has achieved a significant milestone by securing a coal supply contract worth Rs. 90 crores from GACL-NALCO Alkalies & Chemicals Private Limited. This pivotal partnership entails the supply of 80,000 metric tons (MT) of Indonesian coal to meet the fuel requirements of GACL-NALCO’s operations.
Incorporated in December 2015, GACL-NALCO Alkalies & Chemicals Pvt Ltd (GNAL) is a 60:40 JV company of GACL (promoted by Government of Gujarat) and NALCO (promoted by Government of India) respectively. GNAL is setting up 800 metric tonne per day (MTPD) caustic soda plant along with a 130 MW coal based captive power plant at Dahej, Gujarat, India.
This order not only underscores Thron’s prowess in the coal supply domain but also marks a momentous achievement as its first-ever order from a government Public Sector Undertaking (PSU) customer. This contract holds special significance for Throns, as it marks the company's inaugural order from a government PSU customer. The accomplishment speaks volumes about Throns’s industry reputation, commitment to excellence, and adherence to stringent quality standards.
